Summer of Love Festival: Deep Listening Session

7th August @ 7:15 pm - 9:30 pm BST

‘Deep Listening’ is a term coined by the American Pauline Oliveros – musician, composer, activist, teacher and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism. Sanghasīha explores the intersection of a deep appreciation of ourselves, the other-than-human world, well-being, music, soundscapes and Dharma practice in this short introduction to Deep Listening. Expect sound meditation, guidance and discussion by Sanghasiha and a live set of Ambient music by Akashamitra.

The Summer of Love is an immersive festival that celebrates the intersection of art, beauty, and Buddhist practices. In the Buddhist tradition, art and beauty play pivotal roles in communicating higher values and refining our emotional sensitivity. Connecting with sublime states through these mediums helps us transcend self-centeredness.

During these events, we aim to create a special space where our community can gather and connect through music, which elevates consciousness and fosters a sense of unity.

All events will be on Wednesday evenings from 7.15-9.30pm at Effra Space.
