Spring Clean Your Mind: Meditation Challenge | Metta here and now

We challenge you to meditate every day for 6 weeks, to bring fresh energy into your life!

Week 4 – Metta Here and Now

We might say that we can’t feel much Metta, but we all have moments of appreciating beauty, or expressing kindness or gratitude. The metta Bhavana, or development of loving kindness, gives us a chance to dwell on these higher experiences and establish them more in our hearts and minds.

In week 4 we’ll explore how important it is to give room to the receptive and open element of this process and not always push so hard in meditation.

Part 2 – Challenge Check-in held on zoom from 8.45pm (BST). Share and discuss how your challenge is going, with others taking part.

Join the 6-week meditation challenge bringing fresh energy into our lives – starting Monday 5th April

Things are opening up. After this long hard winter, the days are brighter and spring is starting to bloom. After the effects of lockdown, we want to rejuvenate too. Recovering our zest for life, our connection with others and the sense of possibility and potential in our lives.

Our minds are the mediators of our experience, but like a stuffy house filled with clutter our minds too can become stagnant and full. Yet, if we can turn courageously and open heartedly toward whatever is going on in our hearts and minds, we can move from the boring habitual ways we have of relating to our experience into new, fresh and alive ways of experiencing ourselves and others.

The aim of the challenge is to meditate everyday using the tools we’ll be exploring week on week. You could start a life changing meditation practice of your own or deepen the practice you already have.

Each Monday evening, we’ll be offering a live-stream on our [YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo1lbWKjtDQPzOFpZVgRNJQ?view_as=subscriber) where you can enjoy guided meditations to build up our meditation toolkit each week, and seek inspiration from seasoned and newer meditators by hearing what inspires and challenges them in their meditations.

To help us build up momentum to practice throughout the week, we’ll also be offering regular encouragement, stories, tips, and the chance to build connections with others on the Challenge. All this will be offered on our community Discord chatroom, in a dedicated channel for the Spring Clean Your Mind Meditation Challenge.


Our classes (and this challenge!) are free of charge but all donations are gratefully received, as we are completely dependant on your gifts to run these events and to keep them free for those without the means to give financially. We’d suggest a donation of £60/£30 for the whole 6-week challenge, depending on your income.
