The Buddha famously said “friendship is the whole of the spiritual life”. On Sangha Day we celebrate friendship in the context of spiritual community. One of the joys of spiritual community is finding like-minded people and realising our potential through collective practice. Please come along and help us celebrate our vibrant Brixton Buddhist community on this significant Buddhist festival day.

We will be joined by Maitreyabhandhu as our special guest speaker. Maitreyabhandu is a gifted teacher based at the London Buddhist Centre and author of several well loved books and courses including Life with Full Attention and The Journey and the Guide. In addition, there will be meditation, reflection, Mitra ceremonies and other opportunities for collective practice. You are welcome to come to all or part of the day. We encourage you to come to all of the event if you can.

To keep our events accessible, all events at Brixton Buddhist Community are offered by donation. We’d suggest a donation of £25/£15 for this festival event, depending on your income. Although our classes are all run by volunteers, in order to cover our costs we’re completely reliant on your gifts and generosity to run classes, courses and events, and to keep them available for all.
