Padmasambhava Day: Dharma Day talk by Maitreyabandhu

October 25 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm GMT

Padmasambhava Day Festival

Join us for a belated celebration of Padmasambhava, the greatly precious guru of the 8th century. Part historical figure, part legend, it is said that Padmasambhava was summoned to Tibet to help overcome the various demons that were preventing the establishment of Buddhist temples in the land of snows.

As a potent symbol for transformation, and working with our own inner demons, the story of Padmasambhava still has much relevance to us in our lives as Buddhist practitioners today.

In this two-part live-steam, we will firstly be joined by a special guest, Maitreyabandhu from the London Buddhist Centre, himself a devotee of Padmasambhava, who will be giving a talk on the power of transformation.

Then, in the evening, will be witnessing some people from our community become Mitras, marking their own deepening commitment to Buddhist practice, and the Triratna Buddhist Community. These ceremonies are a rich time for celebration and well wishing, as they mark a new stage of transformation in each person’s journey through their practice of this spiritual path.
