Starting afresh
Join us again for in-person classes on Monday nights.

As we edge into new freedoms of how we work, travel and socialise, with all their attendant excitements and anxieties, we want to stay open and emotionally buoyant through the changes. Meditation helps us deepen our resources in adversity and find joy in everyday interactions, meaning we can start each day afresh so that each moment of our lives can feel like an adventure.

Building on the momentum of the meditation challenge, this new series will support us starting afresh. We’ll be exploring the principles underlying the life changing practices of the mindfulness of breathing, and the cultivation of loving kindness meditations.

Week 4:  We all want to feel connected to ourselves and others but it’s so easy to paper over the cracks we have in our relationships. We can censor how we feel, for the sake of harmony or an easy life, thinking that we shouldn’t really feel like this. Acknowledging how we really are, whether that is hurt, upset, angry or actually really loving and caring, is the first step in authentic communication and genuinely wishing them well.

This week in the Metta Bhavana meditation practice we will explore how to become more authentic in our responses to others, engaging with our own responses and creating a basis for a genuine sense of connection.

Suitable for newcomers and established meditators. The first half of the class will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel and second half of the class, with the cameras off, will have a second shorter meditation and go more deeply into the practices.

Join in person – Spaces are limited, so a free booking is required to reserve your place.

Please note – social distancing and wearing of masks is required to attend this class.

at Effra Space, 21 Effra Parade,
