Monday Night Drop-in Meditation Classes
Monday Night Drop-in Meditation Classes
An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Monday, repeating until 31st October 2026

Whether you are a beginner to meditation, or you have been meditating for a while, our Monday night drop-in meditation classes are a great way to learn and practice with others.
The Buddha said that the mind is luminous when released from distractions. Meditation can help us be less distracted as well as more loving and compassionate. We learn to be present with our experience, whether it feels comfortable or difficult. Through the practices that the Buddha first taught 2,500 years ago, we can find deeper meaning in our lives.
For those newer to meditation or who are unfamiliar with the practices we teach, we have a separate space where we teach the practices from the beginning. Each week we cover one of two practices: the Mindfulness of Breathing or the Metta Bhavana, or Loving-Kindness meditation. In our main room, we teach a more in-depth class for those who know the practices and are comfortable sitting with less guidance. Meditators in both rooms come together during the tea break.
These classes are held in-person only. There is no need to book your place, or let us know you are coming. Just arrive from 7.20pm, take off your shoes, turn off your phone, and find a place to sit in the main room, either on a mat or chair. Different instructors teach each week.
- 7.30pm-9.30pm

Donations
To keep our classes accessible, most of our events are offered by donation. We’d suggest a donation of £10 per Monday drop-in class, depending on your income. Although our classes are all run by volunteers, in order to cover our costs we’re completely reliant on your gifts and generosity to run classes, courses and events, and to keep them available for all.
