International Sangha Day

November 27 @ 9:00 pm - November 29 @ 11:30 pm GMT

Even though our own sangha-day event has been postponed this month because of the lock-down restrictions, we still have the opportunity to participate in an online international sangha day being celebrated by Triratna around the world. The programme of event spans the globe, and will give a real sense of the breadth and depth of worldwide Triratna community of which we are a part. We’d recommend checking out the rich programme using the link below and joining whatever event you find of most interest,

A Festival of Light: 28th November

What does Sangha mean to you?

Most of the time our sense of Sangha is naturally focused around our local situation, our local Centre or group, perhaps even our circle of Sangha friends within that.

But you are also part of a global Sangha – tens of thousands of people who Go For Refuge. They live in different circumstances, expressing Sangha in culturally diverse ways, and yet all unmistakably ‘Triratna’.

International Sangha Day is an opportunity to experience that for yourself: to do puja with the Mexican Sangha, hear and discuss talks on practicing the Dharma in other cultures, and chant mantras at Bhante’s burial mound.

You are warmly invited to join in, for as little or as much as you wish.
