Dharma Night: A Path to Complete Transcendence

October 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm GMT

Dharma Night is a public class for anyone interested in understanding and practicing the simple and profound teachings of Buddhism. When practiced. this path is said to lead to a state of mind beyond dissatisfaction and suffering, toward a mind that is light, spacious and filled with joy.

This class is especially suitable for those newer to Buddhism, who might be exploring Dharma teachings for the first time.

Each class covers a fundamental Buddhist theme or teaching and is built around a discussion between two experienced teachers. There will also be a short guided meditation, tea break and a chance for questions.

Dharma Night: A Path to Complete Transcendence

We start the first two weeks of Dharma night with the most fundamental of all Buddhist teachings: The Four Noble Truths. These four short lines do nothing less than capture the whole issue of our uncomfortable existential situation, and state that there is an alternative.

This week we discuss the second pair of noble truths, which show us that if we are convinced of the universal law that one action begets another, it is possible for us to transcend Dhukka, unsatisfactoriness and suffering. The path to this being through undertaking actions which, bit by bit, free us from patterns of behaviour which keep us trapped in this experience.

Please note – social distancing and wearing of masks is required to attend this class.

Spaces are limited, so a free booking is required to reserve your place.
