Dharma Night at the Brixton Buddhist Community
Now just in-person, and no need to book!
Just turn up at Effra Space, Brixton, from 7.20pm
Dharma Night is a public class for anyone interested in understanding and practicing the simple and profound teachings of Buddhism. With practice, this path is said to lead to a state of mind beyond dissatisfaction and suffering, toward a mind that is light, spacious and filled with joy.
This class is especially suitable for those newer to Buddhism, or those who might be exploring Dharma teachings for the first time.
Each week covers a fundamental Buddhist theme or teaching and is built around a discussion between two experienced teachers. There will also be a short guided meditation, comfort break and a chance for questions.
No booking required, just turn up.
Face coverings are now discretionary. The wearing of face coverings at this event will therefore be optional but still welcomed if you would prefer to do so.
at Effra Space, 21 Effra Parade,
(venue has step-free access throughout)
There will be no further Dharma Night Classes from 15th Sept. Instead we will be running 6-week courses on Buddhism on Wednesday evenings. These are free to book (donations appreciated), and our next course can be booked here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/brixtonbuddhistcommunity/532131
Our classes are free of charge but all donations are gratefully received. We are completely reliant on your gifts to run these events, and to keep them free for those without the means to give financially. We’d suggest a donation of £10/£5 for each event, depending on your income.
The Brixton Buddhist Community is a fully registered UK Charity (no. 1084889)
